Neighborhood plan for Háteigshverfi, Hlíðahverfi and Öskjuhlíðarhverfi

The work on the neighborhood plan for your neighborhoods is well underway. The work is the result of extensive consultation with residents in this area.

Within district 3 are old, established neighborhoods: Hlíðar, Holt and Norðurmýri but also the new Öskjuhlíðarhverfi, which is bounded by Hringbraut to the north, Reykjavík Airport to the west, the coastline of Fossvogur to the south and Bústaðavegur and Suðurhlíð to the northeast.
In the premises of the neighborhood plan, the district is divided into three: Háteigshverfi (Holt and Norðurmýri), Hlíðar and Öskjuhlíðarhverfi, and each part gets its own neighborhood plan.

Presentation of work proposals

The ideas presented here come, i.a. from residents in the earlier stages of the consultation and have been further developed by our experts.
The proposals are still being worked on and we encourage you to influence them by participating in the current consultation.
Together, these work proposals form a draft vision of the future that will be worked on further following suggestions and comments received in this consultation round.
Ideas for work proposals for neighborhood planning for
district 3 – Hlíðar are presented here on the web from
November 19 to February 9 2022.

The work proposals will be on display at Kjarvalsstaðir from November 19 to 26. november.
Suggestions and comments on work proposals are open until January 31 2022.  If you want to make a suggestion or comment, you can send an email to skipulag@reykjavik.is.

All comments will be taken into account when finalizing a proposal for a neighborhood plan for Háteigshverfi, Hlíðahverfi and Öskjuhlíðarhverfi.

Good conversation with the residents

Neighborhood planing has been in progress after extensive consultation with residents, both young and old, in the years 2016 to 2017. The proposals are based on the many ideas, suggestions and emphases that residents put forward at residents’ meetings, in focus groups and in working with children and young people in the schools of the neighborhoods. Here you can read a more detailed overview of the consultation process.
You can also view the Miðasjá for the neighborhood planning, which manages all the tickets that residents have put forward at residents’ meetings to express ideas or opinions.

Introductory walk in the neighborhoods on November 20

On the occasion of this presentation, a light walk around the neighborhoods will be offered, where city employees and planning consultants will discuss ideas for development in the neighborhoods and answer questions.
